Cat cravings
My 18-year-old cat, bless her, is reasonably fit and healthy, and the vet is always pleased with her condition when she goes for her yearly check.
I've noticed lately, though, that she's developed a craving for dairy produce - she goes mad for hard cheese, cream cheese, low fat spread and butter! I don't give her cow's milk to drink, however. She eats normal cat food, and cooked chicken and fish etc, but I'm wondering if she's lacking something in her diet to cause these cravings.
Has anyone out there had experience of this?
Thank you!

We have two cats at home which are unique personalities with their very own taste. My cat is absolutely crazy about olives and loves to lick out yogurt pots. My husband's cat loves cheddar, but it must be extra mature and handfed! And as cats are merely human, too, they may sometimes change their taste and develop new preferences when it comes to food.
No - I don't love them. It is twenty past three in the morning and I am awake. I was asleep, happy and warm. George, the innocent looking cat that I work for must have woken himself up by snoring loudly and then sat and howled in distress. It is hard to sleep next to a howling feline. Once I woke up I had to go to the ladies. George, being a cat, was all excited at the prospect of fffooooooddd and started squealing in excitement.
I am now wide awake and George, well George is lying spread out on my bed snoring his heart out!
George doesn't eat his sachets of meat - he licks the jelly off, I throw the meat out. He crunches his Iams when it suits him.
I love him dearly, but at least with a dog a quick "**** off" gets rid of them during the night, unless they are wanting out.
After years of having dogs I was pretty naive when I got a cat. I adopted a "middle aged" stray. George is now in heaven, slave on hand to see to his every need.
