Graveyard Ghouls

Went to put flowers on a grave yesterday and the 'flower holder' was missing. After cursing the local council (because they seem to expend a lot of energy annoying mourners) I set out (on line) to see where I could buy a new one.
Seems I owe the council an apology. There's been a few cases in Wales of 'flower vases' being stolen by metal thieves. Hard to believe it's worth it, isn't it? Have you heard of such a thing happening in your locale?
Ps. Took me ages to 'find' the things I was looking for yesterday, now I'm inundated with ads for them, lol.

Sadly Svejk, there are always people willing to do do anything if they can see a profit in it,A few years ago we went to the cemetery to lay our Christmas wreaths to find a couple of coppers there as some *** had been in during the night and cleared out all the wreathes. The copper made some inquiries but as he said wreaths all look alike and they were probably on a stall at one of the local markets as we were talking and unless they got a tip there was no chance of cacthing the thieves,
Yes it makes you wonder what kind of people are out there these days Svejk,
which reminds me of an incident which happened last week in my local area with a Karma twist.
On my local F/B Neighborhood Watch, a person was complaining about their Xmas lights being stolen from her front garden, and was saying they must be the dregs of the earth to do such a thing.
I used to know this person quite well, and 4 years ago he/she was the treasure of a School Trust, which the monies raised from raffles, fetes and bingo evenings etc, were used for the school for equipment and days out for the children.
£5,000 went missing and he/she was the culprit, so has a cheek to complain about a few lights.
And what they say about, what goes around, comes around, is true!!!!!

Can't say it's a major problem around here but when you've got vermin who will do this then you know that absolutely nothing is sacred:
