I live in a rented house inbetween two others.
If you look out my window down the garden on the left hand side a panel has been blown down by the wind.
Now before i ask the landlady, or next door or the council, is thos scenario a black and white case of everyone knows who has to sort it out?

The landlady will know who is responsible for the fencing at that side of the house
Like Mrs O, said ^^^

it really depends who own the fence and what side of the boundary it is on.
If it is a small panel and is undamaged, you could always just nail it back up
Just hand the problem over to your landlord.
I would have thought it's the responsibility of the person who bought and had the fence erected. If the cost was shared between 2 people i.e your landlady and the people next door, then the repair costs should be divided between them.If the council put the fence up then it would be their responsibility. x
no there is no black and white answer and the owner of the fence doesn't have to put the panel back up, they do however have to make it safe.
I always though the fence on the left of the property was your responsibility, so in your cae report it to the landlady.
wrong margo.
