Tracing My Father
6 Answers
I am trying to trace my father. Probably he will have died as I am in my 60's.
He was tall and had red hair. I believe he worked with the forrestry commision near Glen Trool in 1950 OR Lambden, near Greenlaw. Both places border regions of Scotland. His first name was Arnold. His second name I am very unsure of, but sounded like Cobber. I really need to find out if I have syblings or relations. It came as a great shock to me to find out the man I knew as my father was not. If anyone can help me I would be so delighted. I do not want to intrude on another family if they did not want to know me. I however would very much like to know where I belong and what Arnold was like.
Thanks to anyone who responds.

Sorry i wasn't much help. Have you tried ringing the Forestry Commission to see if they can help? they might be prepared to look back through staff records. I wish you well.

trixie, if I were you I'd repost your question in Genealogy I think you would probably get a better response in there. Best of luck with your search, trixie.
