The entire house shook for about 2 seconds. The dogs were in a right state - there's a lot of mess we've now got to tidy up!

We thought at first a lorry had hit our house - that's how loud it was. This has happened before when a lorry misjudged the lane and knocked down a pillar.
earthquake?

I'll have to wait and see if anyone else reports a mini earthquake then. I just wondered if it was local, regional or a global incident
Nothing like that here in Milton Keynes Dizmo. Possible a small earth tremor, I hope you are all OK.
I dont think it was global because there was nothing here in Cambridgeshire. (Well apart from me stomping round the house).

Well we're due at the soup kitchen at 16:00.I'll ask if anyone there felt it.
A large bang and a the house shaking sounds like a sonic boom. We experienced one in the summer. Huge bang, followed by thunder like rumble - patio doors banged shut and everything shook.
