If you can add a short cruise up the east coast of Greenland, then do that as well - as the Strictly Judge, Craig Revel-Horwood, says, SPECtacular.....
"on my bucket list to see the Faroes" A friend of mine went to the Faroes. Apparently you have to fly to Skye and then get a 12 hour ferry ride. He loved it though. He said it was like going to Iceland about 20 years ago.
I took a party of Scouts there in the early 90's. Its a wonderful country, with fantastic scenery but eye-wateringly expensive. Luckily we stayed in Icelandic Scout huts and did our own catering. The boys were too young to go for a beer, but I and one of the Icelandic Scout Leaders did one night, and I had to make the beer last two hours ! Very friendly people.
Your pics , like Captain, have just reinforced my desire to go back.Thank you !
I agree...how cheap and that was only 5yrs ago !I;ve had a sneaky peak and it's still reasonable.
The Blue Lagoon..every one has to experience that....and the smell ;)
