My Laptop Is Telling Me That...

...my Avast antivirus software runs out in 4 days. Renew it NOW! I'm very happy to renew it but is it the right one to be using? Don't want to install anything that will be as much good as a chocolate fireguard at the end of the day. All advice appreciated please.

Avast was mentioned on an earlier thread today which I cannot find. The Poster did not rate it. Others may have more info..

The anti virus I use is AVG Antivirus, its also free.

The free version of Avast is absolutely fine. I use it on all my Windows machines.

Just renew it for another year and let it do any updates. You don't need the paid-for version.
