Hi, have a wire behind plasterboard/wall board to a wall light, currently filled in (connection behind filler, I don't have a light connected to it), is it an easy job for a basic electrician to move the wire say 2 metres to the left along the wall so I can have the wall light repositioned? obviously a new hole or a strip of the wall will have to be cut out and refilled. Is this a basic/easy job?

Yes its quite easy...but the sparks will need access above the old and new positions. If its a studded wall he may be able to fish the old cable across ..if there's any cable spare.

Thanks, the new position will actually be closer to the switch, so the cable does not need to be longer, and yes it is on the mains circuit.
