The whole family has had a nasty cold... usual symptoms... but after a few days have all improved...mum in law who's nearly 80... and usual very fit and active suffered the most and ended up with a chest infection..diagnosed by the doctor who prescribed a course of anti biotics, which she has been taking since last Wednesday, her cold symptoms have pretty much gone.. but she still feels ..yuck.. no energy.. no appetite.. just cant be bothered to do anything... Is this ok.. ? do we need to do anything else for her.. or wait til she's completed the course of tablets before we do anything else.. its a weeks course! Ta everso for any answers Mrs C x

She is reacting to illness, like "old people" react to illness...........slowly and taking it's time.

As long as she is not too short of breath...............give her time.
by tomorrow ( Monday ) she should be feeling a bit better . if she is still unwell maybe contact gp. , only my opinion I am not a doctor .
Recovery is slower as we get older, but do offer her some comfort food to try to encourage her to eat a little .
