I'm with 3G network at the moment and I'm constantly getting daily harassing calls from British Gas despite using an App to block their numbers. Can 3G block a few numbers from reaching my phone?
3G isn't a network. It's a 'third generation' technology used by all mobile phone operators. I assume that you're referring to the network operator called 'Three' (which actually operates both 3G and 4G services).
The ability to block calls may well be dependent upon the make and model of your phone. So what model have you got, please?
Yeah, sorry I'm with Three network and my phone is Sony Ericsson Arc S and I'm using Call Blacklist app, which works great but the calls are still getting through. I want to block the number from reaching my phone.
Sorry i can't help with the phone but I strongly recommend sending a formal request to British Gas to remove your phone number from the database. If the calls persist report them under the Dataprotection Act.
Maydup believe me, I even rang them up in rage and swore at the operator to remove my number but they still persist since 2012. Since downloaded Call Blacklist all the calls made are recorded on the app. I just want to block British Gas from getting through my phone. Dataprotection Act route is another avenue I might take, thank you for your suggestion.
@Hopkirk. Back in 2012 I helped one of relatives to sort out an unpaid British Gas electricity bill because they rarely or never received their bills through the post and British keep ringing my number to chase my relative's unpaid bills. Every time they ring I kept repeating myself with different operators on many occasions if the bill came through the post it would have been paid and every time I requested they issue a new bill be sent so my relatives knows how much electricity they used but to no avail they keep demanding payment by phone. That's why I gave up answering and in need of blocking British Gas' number and suggest to my relative to switch to another supplier.
I doubt you can stop them phoning, maybe threaten legal action for harassment or something, but I'm surprised there's no app that could recognise the number and terminate the call swiftly.
