a giant boiled sweet wouldn't be able to do much in the way of an attack apart from squash you. i'd boil the kettle and melt it.

What has boiled sweets and kitchens got to do with the Marian Trench which is the worlds deepest trench (To my knowledge) in the sea?

Anyway I have several types of acid in my kitchen so would think that a facefull of caustic soda would stop the attacking offender in it's tracks unless there would be some weird reaction with the sugar and acid like coke and mentos which could backfire???
