yet again, despite my note stuck to my door, while i have been at work, he has taken my parcel back to the sorting office and left me a card

My postie pops any parcels into the recycling bin if we are out, leaving a note on a card through the letterbox. Thus creating a new game of 'find the delivered cardboard box in the recycling bin full of hundreds of other cardboard boxes'. The neighbours think I'm mad head-diving to the bottom of the bin. I think the postie has a camera rigged up nearby and is...

My order was clearly marked "If recipient out, leave in corner of car-port". So they went round the other side of the house and threw the parcel over the fence.
Sorry to go off topic Excel but I'm pleased to hear you are working. Is it good work? Are you enjoying it?
You have to register with the Royal Mail to have post sent to a neighbour not just put a note on the door. My Royal Mail office has forms to fill in for this.
Any one could have put the note on your door to try to get hold of your parcel.
You can fill in the card and ask on that to have to post sent to a neighbour, but you need the card or the form as proof it really was you and not a prankster or possible thief!
My parcel said please leave in the rear porch, so he left it two doors down behind their wheelie bins. He very kindly put a note through their door telling them where he'd left my parcel. This wasn't the postie though, who has a brain and uses it, but a driver for Amazon.

I have a great postie he always leaves my parcels in a safe place, however I once had a different one who posted a card to say my parcel would be at the sorting office, his van was parked across the road & he had walked round posting other letters so I wrote him a note to say I was now home & put it on the window wiper, he got back in the van & drove off with the note flapping in wind (I even put it on the driver side so he must of seen it) that left with no parcel & no card to say I had one, took a lot of explains to the sorting office but I did get it in the end, told my usual postie he knew who it was & told me he's a idiot to work with & prob couldn't be bothered getting my parcel back out!!!
My postie is really good but delivery companies like Parcel Post and Yodel leave a great deal to be desired.
