I've just done an inventory of my freezer. There is an item I have no idea what it is, bought from Lidl, wrapper removed. It is a black plastic rectangular case,it holds two white ceramic pots, about 1" deep and 3.5" across. Whatever it is, it's a creamy substance with things in it. I can see tiny bits of red (could be chilli or carrot) some darker bits but cannot identify the items. Most likely savoury as very rarely by sweet stuff. Can any help please?

Defrost one of them. My guess is some exotic pate.
defrost, and taste it !!

Definitely not pate. I think it needs cooking.
some savoury dips or pates?
Shove it in the oven at 180 and see what comes out

I don't really want to cook them just to find out. I'd like to know what they are so I can use them accordingly. I might have to have a trip to Lidl to see if they can help.
this reminds me of someone I knew that had a horse stud farm. They used to milk the mares straight after birth -just take a little colostrum and freeze it in case they ever had an orphan foal or a mare that had little or no milk. Their teenage son asked them one day what the weird tasting icecream was in the freezer...
That sounds less cost effective than cooking them to me

don't risk it Caran. sling 'em in the bin.
