Can someone please talk me through the difference between 100 Hz and say 400 Hz or 600 Hz processing rate on a Smart TV?

As a general rule, the higher the frequency the faster things get processed and so the better the potential result.

Thanks. Chris' link suggests it's about picture quality with fast moving events. That doesn't bother me much, I was concerned it was more to do with internet capability.
