Now my fridge is going wrong. The freezer isn't getting cold enough, neither is the fridge. My OH reckons we need to get it re loaded with gas. Any suggestions ? We haven't had that done for years, it is a double door General Electric that is at least 15 years old and has worked very well. Now it seems to be charging, is that the correct word ? , all the time. I think that means it is using a lot of electricity, what do you think ?

At 15 years old it is time to get rid of it and get a new one.
It must be so old it is one with the type of gas that is banned now due to destroying the ozone layer , you will NOT be able to re-gas it.
A new one will be much cheaper to run as well.

Thanks Eddie, looks like I need to go to the sales and get a new fridge and a new dryer !
Yes a new one is what you need they are far more efficient now and much better insulated , plus they don't kill the ozone layer.
