Welcome to Title Builder Beta.

This small piece of kit is designed to make building your Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle question more effective. It should make finding your question easier for others and, the easier it is to find, the more likely someone is to answer it!

To build an easy to find question title simply select the paper and quiz, enter the quiz number if relevant and fill in the Publication Date. Once you’re happy click “Build Title” and the information should populate the Title field. Fill in the final required details of your question as you normally would, and click submit.

As this is a Beta we only have a limited number of papers and quizzes listed. If you think your favourite Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle should be listed here don’t hesitate to contact us.

Remember: You do not have to use the title builder - simply enter the title and question as you normally would and click submit!

Does anybody else feel that this crossword has become way too easy, and boring? With a prize of £1,500 it should be more of a challenge, and - more importantly - more interesting. It was so much better a few years ago when Chris Feetenby was setting it, but I think he handed it over to his son, who just fills it with contemporary trivia about TV, films, sport and pop music. Bah !

It's a shame, as it is possible to create a good general knowledge crossword: Financial Times Polymath on Saturdays, and the Big Monday in the Express (though it's a terrible newspaper!) are just two examples. The MOS Prize is now really little more than a prize draw.

Some weeks it is easy but leave alone. If you find it too easy try another paper.

I agree, I enjoy doing the crossword, I fill in the answers I know , then take an 'educated guess' to fill in the blanks. Finally I look up the questions in various places to complete, hence I hopefully learn a bit more information each week!! -Surely this is supposed to be a bit of fun for ALL -brainy or not. The prize is not really the point, thought it would be lovely to win & give my kids a helping hand with their house savings.
If I felt it was not challenging enough I wouldn't waste my time completing it but try another more difficult challenge.
Isn't that the idea?.

No I don't think so, it depends on your interests, for example I nearly always know the classical music and opera questions also the geography and history but I know nothing about pop music or present day authors

then don't bother
