Pentatonic Scales

I should know this, but I have a mental block!

Scale of C major = C D E F G A B C
C major pentatonic = C D E G A (no F or B)

Scale of D natural minor minor = D E F G A B C D
D minor pentatonic = D E G A C (no F or B)

Scale of A natural minor = A B C D E F G A
A minor Pentatonic = A C D E G ( no F or B)

Scale of E natural minor = E F G A B C D E
E minor pentatonic = E G A B D (no F# or C)

I'm confused! Why is it that E minor is different from D minor and A minor in omitting the 4th and 7th notes of C major when forming the pentatonic scale?

Took the dog for a walk and the answer popped into my head, so no need for an answer. I was being very dense! Got it now!

D min comes from F major (with Bb in it) and E min comes from G Major with F# in it.

Scale of G Major = G A B C D E F# G

4th and 7th notes = C and F#

E min pentatonic = E G A B D (Omitting C & F#)

There are major and minor pentatonic scales for all keys, a common source of confusion

Most people always assume pentatonic scales are minor with flattened thirds etc
