Oil Pressure In A Car That Won't Start.
22 Answers
My grandsons car broke down before Christmas and it turns out he had run out if oil.
The oil has been re-filled but there is no pressure and the ignition clicks but will not start.
How do we build up the pressure so he can get it to the garage?
Thank you for any help.

When you say bump start, I take it you mean push the car, in gear ignition on (a lot forget to do this) and 'drop' the clutch??
It could be as simple as a failed starter motor.
If he did run out of oil then the engine is probably no good, but this could be a few hundred £ repair and car as good as new if its just the starter motor.
