Grpahics Card
3 Answers
I brought a Tornado GeForce MX 4000 Graphics card today and have put all the drivers etc onto my computer, however, when i physically put the card in and then turn the computer on(with the monitor connected to the new card) the screen is blank. There is a 2 pin thing on it which i think power might go into it, however there wasnt a lead that came with it. Whats going wrong? Rich

This may sound a little obvious, but are you sure the monitor is plugged in to the right socket on the card eg, the VGA or DVI socket and not one elsewhere that may be on the back of the PC thats for onboard graphics.
Try making sure the card is fully clicked in to place, sometimes you need to push quite hard to make it connect.

Well, don't start to get involved with drivers etc just yet. when the PC boots before windows actually starts you should get the bios display which any graphics card should display without any drivers loaded.
You don't say what the original graphics card is but if it is an onboard graphic card you probably have to go in the bios and set the onboard graphics to be off or disabled or whatever and also set the graphics to use PCI or AGP depending on which version of the MX 4000 you have installed.
