I once met a couple on holiday and he had had an erection for 2 days, no phone help line in those days ! doctor told him to go home and take panadol, when he phoned the surgery the 2 nd day he spoke to a different GP eventually he phoned and spoke to GP 1 they then treated it as a emergency, sent an ambulance etc and said it was like a heart attack [ is this true Chris ?] gave him an injection to deflate and kept him in for 24 hrs observation. This was a long time ago though.
