We tried our Aldi haggis with breakfast, sliced, fried, with tomatoes and mushrooms, and it was lovely, couldn't fault it. (Practice run for our traditional meal tomorrow)

Haven't thought of trying it for breakfast. Just crawled out of the sack, and feeling a bit fragile, so not sure if I could face a fried haggis. But I have mine lined up for tomorrow, too. Hope you have a great time tomorrow, mags. x

Aldi use haggis fresh from the hillsides of the Trossachs National Park to ensure a tender and flavoursome finish.
So much tastier than the farmed variety.
Aye Doogie - never mind the Trossachs ...
I suspect that the Tesco Haggis (Haggii?) are not really Haggis but some equine version. Easier to catch!
But at only 99p would in not mainly consist of offal?

Sandy - it was the usual consistency ,offal, oatmeal, and spicy seasoning.Dougie, it's too cold for them in the Trossachs at present, think it was from Durness, legs a bit short so a long way to walk! And Jayne, they are great fried, I also eat them cold in a floury bap - yummy. Have a great Burns birthday everyone
