To unfortunately be pretty blatant about it and I don't where else to ask, but there might come a time soon I get offered hormone therapy, but I'm really worried. I took an overdose in 2013, (a staggered one throughout the day... which apparently can be more complicated to treat, I guess because some of the drugs were already working in my system by that point) they kept me in hospital until my liver function was back to normal. But am worried that it might turn out they advise against hormone therapy because it does have an impact on your liver and I know you have to regular blood tests from what other people have told me.
Is it likely I'll be advised strongly advised against it? I've tried asking my doctor but they kept diverting from it saying 'one step at a time, talk to the psychotherapists first' - but I can't help thinking about it. I'd rather just know as soon as possible if it's even anything remotely viable
hi danny, I think you need to be more specific about what you mean by hormone therapy. I assumed, as will many, that this thread is about HRT for women which it clearly isn't.
well... it's a transgender thing - so yeah... i feel awkward talking about it, but i didn't know where else to ask. so... I don't like saying it, but, male to female...
Well Body and Soul and its subtopic Health and Fitness get looked at a lot. I wouldn't worry too much about where as long as it gets seen. Sorry I cannot advise you on your actual query though.
