Button Box

Do you have a box of odd buttons in your house? My mother and grandmother had large tins of buttons of all different sizes, shapes, patterns and colours.

Nobody in this house knows how to sew a button on.

Yes, I have a button tin, an old macintoshes toffee one.
Half the buttons are from my late mums button tin and go back to childhood cardigans she knitted for me, my sister and others. The other half are what I've managed to acquire over the last thirty or so years, mainly spare buttons that have been attached to new clothes.
