Remember I occasionally write here about 'churnalism'?

This is a prime example.

If this were a scientific study, conducted for pure research purposes, it would not have concluded that the 'British' accent is the most attractive in the world, because as we know, there's no such thing.

However, this was a poll was conducted by Time Out, chiefly to advertise Time Out.

I would lay good money on the whole article being lifted directly from a Time Out press release, without any contribution whatsoever from The Independent.

That's where we are with 70% of our 'news' today.
