HSBC have said they have fundamentaly changed their practices since the Tax Evasion Scandal. So how are they going to hide behind this if evidence of money laundering is shown? Personallly i don't think they have changed one iota, which makes HSBC's bosses drivelling letter to their staff and customers all the more insulting. One lie after another, it comes naturally to them

Is there ever going to be an end to bank scandals ? Dodgy investments, fiddling exchange rates, fiddling taxes, colossal bonuses which I can't believe were truly earned or deserved, allowing employees to gamble with so much of the bank's money that the bank is crippled by the losses - will they not put themselves out of business ? And when they do, the government has to rescue them to prevent lots of ordinary people losing their savings ? They seem to think they are god - untouchable, out of reach of the law. Every week some new banking horror.

Because they all say they have changed their procedures and then months later another scandal is uncovered. Greed is ingrained in the banks. Any apology is crocodile tears

Its quite clear that HSBC clearly aided and abetted money laundering from their Swiss off-shoot. After all, if they are now saying that they have fundamentally changed their practices, than what they did before must, therefore, be wrong. Hoisted by their own petard it would seem.
