You see on news and sports programmes and maybe others where the presenters are on a lap top and when the programme is over what are they doing with the lap top .Signing off .or as I suspect they are not plugged in and shuffling the pages of news does not look cool any more

I think they are signing off.

I remember Michael Buerk being asking this when laptops first came in - he confirmed that in signing off, his material was sent to the archives.
I can confirm they are all always on AB, especially Jon Snow - he loves crosswords, but usually doesn't have time to finish them without a bit of help.
Oh, I thought dannyk was Jon Snow.......

Well ive learnt summit today andy-hughes.
Depends on who, weecalf. Eamonn Holmes is always looking at his live Twitter feed to see if anyone has Tweeted him. It boosts his ego to get a tweet live on TV.
