My uncle Maurice died from a massive cardiac arrest today in 2011. He was only 69, was the life and soul of any party, the black sheep of the family and I miss him terribly.

The fall that basically stopped my Dad from eating and killed him, happened on October 23rd, which was my uncle Maurice's birthday, and the day that Al Jolson died in 1950. Coincidence or what?! Dad loved this one and it was Al's favourite of all the songs he sang.

Nobody on AB knows this yet, but I have a new puppy! He's called Rufus, he's a red Norfolk Terrier from Stowmarket. He was born on 2nd December 2014 and this is one of his songs. He goes mental if I fuss my sister's dog, Poppy!
When I work out how to lift photos from emails I'll post some. In the first, he's only 1.5 days old.

How could I have forgotten? February 25th was a sad day for AB too. I'm pretty sure that Owdhamer passed away 2 years ago today. I don't know what his taste in music was, but I miss the early hours talks we had when he was in hospital.
