hey heres one for all you guitarists outthere, basically im learning at the mo and forming chords etc not a problem, however when it comes to the strumming/rythm the down up down stuff i keep fluffing the up motion, so is there any exercises or tips i can apply to my practise to help this problem? please help cheers
Pick a song you know which has a pronounced strumming pattern. Dont just listen to it , really focus on the rhythm structure. Get it in your head and identify the "kur chings" then practice til your fingers bleed. at this stage dont worry about the chords pick one which is clear and easy to play.
I suppose no-one could answer this question....it a "touchy-feely" thing....use different plectrums, hard and soft, and practice slow....feel the strings one by one as you strum....go to harmony central website, loads of tips and lessons links there..good luck
