Safe, sensible diet?
5 Answers
Hi, my little gal wants to lose some weight (!) for her prom in 3 weeks. She doesn't need to diet really but wants to feel good. Any ideas. I have said no white bread, rice, potatoes. What else is good to stop you bloating? I could do with losing about 10 lbs too but I can't afford to diet! Food which is good for you and tastes good seems to cost twice as much as good old bangers and mash etc. Help. Cheap, easy to follow diet please :0) Fatty Poglet x

I would love a cracking little figure like hers. I just want her to feel good about herself for the prom without encouraging her to diet (she is a complete chocoholic!) x
I agree with aggiela. She can do toning exercises instead of dieting and that'll have better longterm effects. She needs to work on bum & hips so she needs to do lots of leg lifts. There are plenty of websites around which show you the correct exercises. Or she could buy a body workout video.
If she wants to lose any last minute bloatiness then a couple of days before she should eat light. Avoid 'heavy' foods like potatoes but do eat rice and vegetables. Stir fry veg with noodles is cheap and easy.
