its at new forest national park
Nice, I love the New Forest. Enjoy yourself, there are loads of great places to visit. Check the good pub guides if you are venturing out. My favourite is the Royal Oak in Fritham, but I think thats about half an hour away from Shorefield. If you are after any recommendations, let me know.

we have the dog with us so we might be a bit limited to where we can go,we can leave him one night to go for a meal,an odd afternoon to go swimming,
We have the car so distance is no problem.
How wonderful kate, hope you all have a lovely time, and come back refreshed(or knackered depending),Enjoy!

we cant get in til 4'o'clock so we will leave here tomorrow at 7/8 am.
Most pubs don't mind well-behaved dogs, and in most local pubs you can get a decent meal. I used to walk my collie in Fritham, and the Royal Oak used to throw him a bowl of water whilst we had our lunch. Do go to Lepe beach for a few hours - it's not the most beautiful beach, but it's dog friendly, great if pooch likes a paddle, and good for winkling. Barton beach (Barton-on-sea) is closer, a bit pebbly, nice and quiet, but am sure that's dog friendly too
have a great holiday :)
