Dressings On Surgical Site
6 Answers
I had surgery over two weeks ago and was told to keep the dressings/bandage on and keep it dry.
I am due for stitches out this week which is now over due because they had no appointments.
I am desperate to clean my leg and foot and wonder if it's okay to remove the dressings that morning so that I can clean it before I go, obviously I won't drench it, I will just use a cloth in the surrounding area.
This will also help me with clothing and footwear for the appointment. On the way home from surgery I had a lift and so wore no footwear and pyjama bottoms. I have to get public transport to my appointment this time and the bulky dressing does not allow for shoes etc...
Thanks
