I used to really enjoy going on there and seeing other people's comments and posts and posting myself but the last couple of months I have gone right off it.
I think it was the cause of my niece's mum banning me from seeing her as I stupidly accepted a friend request from my brother's new girlfriend. :O(
also I have been on fb a long time so my work colleagues,boss, family including my mum ,hubby ,inlaws and it doesn't feel as private anymore if you know what I mean.
the only good thing that I find invaluable are some closed groups I have joined for parents of type 1 diabetic kids and coeliac kids...I've got tonnes of good tips and you can let off steam with people in the same boat without everyone else seeing it. Fantastic.
No question really other than can you write your posts so only certain people can see them?..

Yes. The "Share this post with…" button has sub-menus to pick a handful of people "on the fly" or create permanent circulation lists. eg you don't want to share family stuff with people who are only Farmville buddies and you don't want the game spam going to family/friemds feeds
etc.
