What is your favourite? I loved all the Enid Blytons from Noddy to Mallory Towers!
I also loved the Little Black Sambo stories, but they are considered non of now, but they were really just stories about a naughty little boy.

I loved The Magic Faraway Tree, as did daughter and granddaughter. Enjoyed The Chalet School books but would read anything I could get my hands on. Loved Biggles and read most of the children's classics. What bliss when aged 12 I was allowed an adult ticket at the Library as the librarians realised I had worked my way through most of the books appropriate to my age. Narnia books were favourites.
One of the best books I have read as an adult was The Skallagrigg, now seems to be out of print and when I last looked second hand copies were very expensive.
Get paranoid if I only have 2 unread books in the house. Race to Oxfam and the library. Run out of bookcases.
Ac...if you were dealing with us wouldn't you need a spare to take over while you went to lie in a darkened room....☺

Paddy...Just William...how could I forget....one of my favourites from childhood and I still love to listen to Martin Jarvis reading them on the radio now....x
I loved every single book by Enid Blyton, as she wrote one I bought it from famous fives, secret sevens, valleys etc of adventure. Angela Brazil, chalet school books, later Catherine Cookson. Now I read Lesley Pearce, Erica James, Celia Ahern, Cathy Kelly and Shelia O'Flanagan. Ohand Maeve Binchy.
