I personally cannot work out why this wasn't dealt with quickly and quietly. They should have a team that work together and trust and respect each other.
I worked in a treatment and assessment unit where there were quite violent clients. It was stressful at times and once my manager reacted to a request I made in a verbally aggressive way which was completely OTT. I took it didn't say anything when he had finished I said that we would speak later. He without prompting contacted me an apologised. I didn't put in a complaint or do anything as it was completely out of character and a one off.
Even if this chap didn't like JC I would of taken him aside and said I will let you off this time but do it again and you are gone!
The Quiz:

10 out of a possible 11
Top Gear! Knowing Jeremy, knowing Alan – aha!
Congratulations! You beat the average score of 7 for this quiz

And I don't know Alan Partridge at all
The "indispensable" employee often knows it and it is a test of character to see whether they exploit it, or not.

If the Beeb has an anti-bullying policy worth the paper it is written on, then he should go. Much as that pains me to say so.

I am shocked to see so many people want this irritating ,arrogant and rude man back on tv just because they think he's funny. He has said some awful things in the past and if the allegation is true has actually committed a violent act to somebody, How can people sign a petition when they don't know if this is true or not yet, and why do they not care?
PS Is there a petition I can sign to say I DON'T want to see him back?
I'm just as shocked that people really moan about him and don't have to watch him. Everyone has a choice, I personally can't bear certain presenters but I just choose not to watch them, I really couldn't care less that others do.
why do you watch it if you dont like the guy. watch men and motors if ya like cars but not clarkson
I try not to, and I never watch Top Gear, but I see news articles and clips on what he has said in the past.
I think his initials have gone to his head, where can I buy some 6" nails?
Hope he stays.
He should stay!
Some people are missing the point big time -he has not been suspended for being a prize wazzock he has not been suspended for mouthing off with un PC comments -he has been suspended for allegedly assaulting a work collegue. Physical assault,to me ,is crossing the line .
sandyRoe has asked...."Is he given to drinking? "

Well an anagram of 'Top Gear' is 'Pot Rage'

Hans.
Strangely enough his contract with Top Gear is up at the end of this month.
