A lot has been said on here over the last 24 hours, about how indispensable Clarkson is, but that is far from the truth. I think that Alan Partridge would make an wonderful replacement for Clarkson, and at considerably smaller cost.

I am not sure if the Beeb really does need a childish, narcissistic wally, but if we do, why not go for the cheaper one !

Thanks Ummm. The big difference between Clarkson and Partridge is that Partridge is funny and amusing.
