Puzzle 1 it says the answer is a French city. I got birmingham is this correct

Without opening a can of worms, how did you get Birmingham? Don't know how the Puzzle works :-(

It's a crossword and you take the yellow squares with the letters and it says. Once you get the letters rearrange for the name of a French city

I am a crossword compiler. Without the question I can say. But one trick we use, is to put two words together,which seem related, but aren't.
eg Birmingham/City

So you are saying that the 10 letters in the yellow squares are BIRMINGHAM. There aren't many 10 letter cities/large towns in France but a quick look doesn't show one that can be made from the letters shown perhaps you have made a mistake?

i'm guessing that the typesetter inadvertently typed the word 'French' in the question

In last weeks issue 2 the question was a French City so they probably have made a mistake by not changing the question.I've just sent the the form in with Birmingham as the answer.

i have birmingham also cant be right ive looked in list of french cities .no luckthought it may be spit into 2 or three words
