D+G can have whatever opinions they like and so can Elton John. More power to his elbow over this affair.
And strangely, Stefano Gabanna approached a woman back in 2006 to conceive a child for him.

It seems that what's good for him is no good for others?

Was he wrong to say what he said?

No, it's his opinion.

Was he unwise? Probably - D&G are already known as tax evaders...they really don't need to add this to their resume.

And I totally don't think that Elton or anyone else should boycott Dolce & Gabbana. I suspect that in the short term, this will result in a small dip in sales in their diffusion line, but main line and diffusion isn't where they make their big money - it's in the perfume line, and I doubt the ordinary man or woman in the street really gives two hoots about this argument.
AOG

Would you agree that all the right wing Christian organisations who order dozens of boycotts each year are too, attempting to stifle the opinions of others?
TTT, //the process is synthetic not the product.//

I agree. Perhaps his English isn’t the best.
It's alot fuss over nothing really. Elton John's having a bit of a strop about something, so what's new? What they said was a tad insensitive, nothing more.

All that money and he still has hair like a dinner lady.
What about the feelings of the children involved? Many are old enough to read an ask questions.
To be called synthetic must be devastating.
Elton and David look happy but to me they are both a little old to be parents of young children. I know there are nannies etc but they are still dad and dad.

As Ludwig says - it's all about nothing. I wonder if Elton and David will be throwing out their D&G handbags and manbags - or they could sell them for a good cause.

So if Sir Elton and all those highly indignant fashionistas and starlets who have amassed tons of D&G gear are now shunning D&G. What is the chance of seeing it on market stalls all over Britain? Can't wait.

Elton's synthetic heir. I like it. If anyone from the Sun's reading this it may be tomorrow's headline.
I checked the Sun. They didn't go with the 'Synthetic heir' headline, but they did have a photo of Elton carrying Dolce & Gabbana bag the day after he'd called for the boycott.
It must have been an old one, and he just had his sandwiches in it or something.
After "Shuddup You Face" topped the charts in 1980, Joe Dolce's career has gone steadily downhill: sad really.
I'll certainly be boycotting them in future. Should save me a small fortune :-)
I'll just check out how much D&G stuff I have to see how my opinion will affect them economically......oh, nothing. Theres's sad. I could have withheld my trade.
