The nearest you've come to a proper answer, DieselDick, is this:

What the author of the post didn't say is that the "shared set of values" (and its converse: a contempt for Western ones) is derived from an historic religious AND political text. It's called the Koran and the values it espouses already has a name (Submission).

dieseldick, andy-hughes and vetuste_enne mi both point to the ambiguous premise of the "Who Created Isis?" : think of the answer to 'who created you dieseldick?' and the simple answer 'my mum and dad' , but someone created your mum and dad all the way pack to tetrapods or God,depending on your belief.

Who brought about the conditions for the creation of ISIS is maybe a different question and one no-one has answered that yet.
