But bear in mind that your state pension (basic State pension for 2015-16 is a little shy of £6,000 pa) although paid tax free forms part of your taxable income. If you earn £8 per hour at your job (£264 per week or approximately £13,700 pa) your total income will be around £19,700. You will pay £1,820 income tax on that. However, you will no longer have to pay National Insurance, but you need to tell your employer you are in receipt of your State pension before he can cease making NI deductions. He will need to see your birth certificate or passport for proof of your age.
A certificate of exemption is not required, ladybirder (although it is an option). This is the employers’ guidance on the matter:

Sister's NI (national insurance ) number has been shared with a person living in Scotland. The person lives in Scotland have same surname ad my sister.
The person who lives know Scotland is self employed and my sister is an employee of a company.
My sister's tax allowance is not around £10,000, instead it's around £6000. Because the tax office says she is self employed has her own business. But my sister and I did some research and found out that her name and NI is used by another woman who lives in Scotland. We explained this to the CAB for assistance a few years a go thinking it has bed resolved. But if turned that the tax office has nit fixed their error.
What could be done for my sister, she is taxed at a rate that us incorrect and worrying what it's going to do with her state pension if her NI us shared with someone.
Any advise is appreciated here.
