I am looking forward to Election night, as I always do. I shall put a bottle of bubbly in the fridge at about 16:00. I will make lots of snacky things, like cheese and pineapple on sticks, and Twiglets, cover them with cling film and then go to bed !
Having set my alarm clock for 21:45, I shall make lots of coffee and settle down with the Yorkshire Wolfhound for the duration ( to be honest, he's not that interested in politics but its nice to have some company)
As soon as its apparent who has won, the bubbly will be opened....to either celebrate or to commiserate ! I still have the empty bottle of Moet that I opened in the small hours of the 2nd of May 1997. I wrote the date down on the label, with 6 !'s. What a night....it was euphoric to say the least.
