Just been browsing another quiz - answer will contain a colour - clue is 'Uncrossable when doubled' - any ideas on this one? Thanks again.

MissBoots, I've got 'white lines' as in road markings for the colour.

What colour have you got for the clue 'puce'? I recognize the colour when I see it but I've found definitions ranging from 'pink' to 'a shade of brown', taking in 'red' and 'purple' in passing.

Puce is brownish purple according to Chambers dictionary, but like you I've seen it described as many different shades. I'll put down brownish purple I think.

It seems odd that a clue in a colour quiz should be a colour itself - maybe they're being more devious. But can't see how at the moment!
