I have bought and paid for iTunes match all it seems to have done is wiped off my entire music library, about 40 albums and put the ones I have purchased direct from Apple into the cloud! Am I missing something here because I am not a happy bunny. Fortunately I did have my music library stored on my PC. Does anyone know if it does actually work as I am baffled?
In iTunes on the top bar it should say: iTunes File Edit View Controls Store Window Help If it does click on Store and then click on Update iTunes Match
I have an iTunes Store icon ( in light purple) but I can see nowhere where it offers to match them, I can only see the things I have purchased and that silly U2 album, they are showing with the cloud logo and a red downward arrow, so I suspect they are uploaded, I have checked the setting are on in the control panel, I am pretty sure it is something I am doing wrongly!
I suspect I don't have iTunes loaded, just the iTunes store, the place my music is stored is a red icon with a semi quaver encircled, I think you may have hit the nail on the head, I will download iTunes and try again, I will come back to hopefully with some positive results.
Thank you so much it seem to have worked although I did the iTunes Match from my PC as I couldn't find it in the iPod iTunes Store, maybe I am being dumb but it was very difficult to get a straightforward answer from Apple. Anyhow I now have all my music in the cloud, lots more free space on my iPad and access to my music from loads of places. Thank you so much for you help it is much appreciated.
