Dental Charges Nhs
3 Answers
Two weeks I ago I had an emergency appointment at the Dentist as I had an abscess.
It was decided it would have to be removed after a course of Antibiotics.
Today was extraction day......I paid £50.50 which is band 2.
At the first appointment, and today's appointment I asked about a small denture to fill the ever widening gap today's extraction made.
I have a further appointment in two weeks for a clean and ro discuss the possibility of a denture.
I am now wondering as I have paid today's Band 2 charge, will I now have to pay the full Band 3 for further treatment or will today's payment be included when I get the denture?
I could barely open my mouth when I left the surgery and certainly wasn't thinking straight to ask this question at the time.

If I go on to have a denture within 2 months then the band will change to Band 3.
The payment I already made goes towards the Band 3 charge so long as its ongoing treatment.
Hope this helps anyone else with a similar query .
