Decorating Eggs For Easter

i just followed instructions for decorating eggs i.e. wrap eggs in coloured silk material and then in white material and tie with a metal tie cover with cold water to which you add 3 tablespoons of white vinegar and boil for 15 mins when cool unwrap and for me nothing nothing like the clip on facebook my eggs were brown not white could that be the reason ? they looked so lovely when done by the expert any solutions greatly appreciated

possibly the fabrics you used weren't suitable. Have you tried wrapping the eggs in onion skins? Have you got a link to the instructions?
