engine management light

anyone have ideas for this please a vauxhall corsa b 1.2i 16 v with a slight missfire at the same time the yellow engine light comes on this is an intermitant fault could it be something like simple plugs or leads [ anything welcome thanks]

more than likley ht unit,conections,or simillar.

carefully unplug and replug each connector,one at a time to see if this cures it.

my neighbors car had a loose plug the garage that serviced it damaged it when changing the plugs.

you could try giving a gentle wriggle to a few connectors and leads as a quick (if you're lucky ) locator of the problem.
