Recommendations For A Laptop Please.

I have given my Son £400.00 for his birthday/graduation.

Anybody got any ideas for a good one, thats fast, reliable, good sound, and a 17'' screen etc.

He uses his old one for the usual. F/B, watching football, Skype etc.

I appreciate any help.

I fell out with Dell when I bought a faulty machine (dead-on arrival) and spent ages talking to the entire population of India before I managed to get a return code and a refund.

I got a good deal on a 17" HP laptop a few years ago from here:
