Or is Cameron simply hoping to return to a possible majority government of whatever flavour rather than make a Tory gain ?
Oh do beware, that link starts playing a video out loud automatically, presumably for a laugh.
How far back would he like folk to return to ? Maybe who they voted for decades ago ? If he wants voters to consider his party the best option he needs to offer what the previous supporters want otherwise they'll vote for one that does.
Sounds to me as if he is rattled. I think he probably doesn't need to be. When no party seems even adequate, the public tends to stick with the status quo.

There are only 3 possible outcomes to this election:
1) Labout outright win
2) Coalition
3) Tory outright win.
In cases 1 and 2 we will stay in the EU.
In case 3 there will be a referendum (I'm guillible, I believe politians' promises).
Anyone voting UKIP in the hope of getting out of the EU is daft; their ONLY hope of getting out is to have a Tory government and hope the referendum goes their way. Voting UKIP, or anything else, will guarantee we stay in the EU.

What's the point in duplicating another current tread title?
