...What is your preference?

Out here it's "thongs"(aka flip flops) for about 8 months of the year, well for me at least. Blundstone boots for the remaining four months.

Joggers if I'm playing tennis or refereeing a junior sports match.
Boat shoes for a casual evening out, not that that happens much.
Formal leather lace ups on very special occasions, even rarer.

Hence to say I go through many pairs of flip flops per year but my shoes last for ages.

Guess it's a climate thing.

I was just sitting taking photos of the monkeys and one of them just jumped and grabbed my bag but I had the bag in the crook of my elbow so me and the monkey were having a tug-o-war. Embarrassing!! lol

Apparently they associate bags with food.

Reckon I know who won that tussle Ummmm.
Should have given the little sod a clip around the ear whilst you were at it.

Was the monkey carrying other peoples bags at the time?
Or were you the first victim of the day?
No...there was one sitting on a wall eating a packet of crisps so obviously someone else had been robbed :-)

ummmm, I took one look at the cable car and said "no way will I be getting on that" we walked to the top!
Really.....that's some trek. Bad enough coming down, I think I would have sat and cried if I had to walk up.

Did you go into the tunnels and stuff? Ginge loved it. Tunnels, guns and caves, what more can a man want!!
No ummmm, I didnt see them, also we had to get back down again, we had other plans. I wish we did though!
He loved it. I was a bit indifferent, meh, guns, meh....

Scenery was lovely though.

Did you fly into Gibraltar? I have never been so scared in my life flying into Gibraltar. I'm not a girlie girl but that landing reduced me to tears :-D
We walked in to Gibraltar and as we were going in, a plane was just landing and flew just above our heads, I remember being very glad that we weren't on the plane!
The plane crosses the road. Barriers come down like a train crossing. The plane has to fly around the rock so it feels like the plane is on it side...then as it comes to land it feels like it's going to land in the sea. The runway is so short that the scared of flying think it's not going to stop in time.

Alcohol is cheap as chips in Gibraltar :-)
I was a smoker at the time I remember buying a lot of tobacco there but not bothered about booze.
Went last year. A packet of fags was £1.30. A litre of vodka was £7.

We actually stayed just by the border in Spain. The hotel was half the price of those in GIB but everything else was cheaper.
and there I thought that Aussies wore no footwear....
