Kindle Downloads To Ipad

My friend has an HP laptop and has ordered Kindle versions of books so that she can read them from her iPad. You can select books to go to your iCloud account when purchasing them, but after ensuring the laptop recognises her iPad we still cannot view the books she has purchased.
Has anyone else had this problem?

You can download the Kindle app from the Apple store on the iPad and sign in with your Amazon name and password for all your ebooks.
