does anybody out there do the codeword puzzle in the Daily Telegraph? Am I right in saying that there were 6 letters not used yesterday (28th) but they are in the answers today? Have I lost the plot?

You are quite right! B F J Q X Y Z not used!

Hi Chrissie58 No you haven't lost the plot I was going to post the following but you beat me to it!

Unless I'm going completely mad, Yesterday's Telegraph Codeword (28th) did not contain any squares numbered 3,5,7,6,10,22 & 26 and the puzzle could be solved without using BFJQXY & Z; Strangely, today's published solution gives that every letter is used by assigning a number to those letters that weren't used so, apparently, not only is a good knowledge of words required, but a level of psychic ability as well !

thank you both. But it is still odd that so many letters were missed out. Maybe perhaps one.... but not 7 - even I can't count! Oh well, we've got five codewords today. Happy solving, everybody!
